ACT Preparation Resources
All you have to do is Google "ACT Preparation" and you'll see lots of sites and firms that offer fairly expensive courses or even one-on-one tutoring. It's up to you and your budget how much you want to spend. I do believe that investing the time to prepare for the exam can pay dividends. You can choose to either do this on your own or by hiring a company or a person to help you.
Personally, I believe you'll do just as well by taking as many unofficial tests as you can on your own (you can buy a book of them at your local bookstore or at Amazon). However, for students that need a little coaching or that need extra prodding to make sure they invest the time, it may be a good idea to look into some sort of tutoring course. You can find group ones, individual ones and even ones offered completely online.
I like free the best so I'd try some of those out first!
A free service you can try can be found at www.number2.com . Also, you can download a complete offical practice exam by clicking on the link below. They also offer an online tutorial for around $20 (that's a great value).
And, always remember that cramming the night or two before the exam is not usually a good strategy. You're better off making sure you get a good night's sleep!

A quick word of caution when you sign up at any of these free sites. They typically will want to send lots of junk mail and email. It's up to you if you are ok with that in return for the free service. I'd use a separate email address (get another free one from Yahoo or Hotmail) than my normal one if you decide to sign up.
